8 Reasons You Should Try TurboFire’s Interval Training Workout
If you’ve done any research at all on Chalene Johnson’s TurboFire Cardio Conditioning workout, you probably have questions about whether or not you should try this particular kind of high-intensity cardio class.
For some good background on the unique and totally science-based High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) that TurboFire incorporates, check out this article:
The short version is that HIIT means you can burn more fat (while keeping your muscle) by training at maximum effort for very short periods of time. Like minutes rather than hours, which we used to do back in the day. (And some people still do – who has time for that??)
So now you know a little bit about HIIT, which is incorporated into TurboFire with the “Fire Drills.” But you may still be wondering if HIIT is for you. Here are some of the ways you can begin to think about it.
1. TurboFire KILLS the workout plateau.
If you’re stuck in a workout rut, TurboFire’s unique HIIT approach can bump you right out and get you seeing results again.
2. TurboFire saves you time.
I know I already said it, but it bears repeating: With interval training, you spend LESS time on a treadmill. That should make ANYONE happy. 🙂
3. TurboFire stays interesting.
You can use interval training with so many different kinds of exercise! That’s part of what makes TurboFire interesting and engaging. It’s not the same thing, over and over again.
4. You’ll burn fat but keep muscle.
This is one of the main advantages of HIIT training like you’ll find in TurboFire. Long slow cardio uses fat AND muscle to fuel your workout. Good interval training saves your muscle.
5. Your fitness level will improve dramatically.
With long slow cardio, you do see improvement, but it takes a lot of time. With TurboFire’s Fire Drills, you’ll work much harder initially, but you are going to see results FAST.
6. You can do HIIT training without any equipment (like a treadmill).
Of course, you can use weights for HIIT training, or do intervals on a treadmill, but the awesome thing about TurboFire’s Fire Drills is that you don’t HAVE to have a treadmill or any other piece of equipment in order to do them. And once you get the gist of how HIIT works, you can make up your own and keep the variety and improvement going!
7. You won’t have to do HIIT every time you work out.
HIIT training is heavy duty, make no mistake. It works you hard and leaves you breathless. And your body needs longer to recover, so TurboFire doesn’t have you doing this kind of training every day. Can you say “welcome relief”?
8. You’ll kick more butt!
The effects of interval training on athletes are well-documented, and a little bit of internet searching will turn up reports if you want them. All of it boils down to one thing: you’ll be able to kick a lot more butt after you do TurboFire. And that’s a good feeling.
