P90X Lean Workout – Free P90X Lean Workout Schedule PDF

P90X Lean

P90X Lean Workout

Heard of the P90X lean workout? You may or may not know, but the P90X lean workout makes use of the normal set of 12 DVDs you get when you buy P90X, but in a different order. Further below is a link to a PDF with the exact lean workout schedule laid out for you in a nice table.

First though, I want to point out that there is a common misconception, however:

People mistakenly believe that the P90X lean workout will make you ‘leaner’ or lose more weight. What the word “lean” is actually referring to is the workout schedule itself.

In other words, it’s actually an easier version of the classic P90X workout schedule. In the P90X lean workout, there are less resistance workouts, no plyometrics at all, and a heavier focus on cardio.

Many women want to try the lean workout because they fear that the classic workout will make them too bulky or put on too much muscle… this is not the case. The P90X lean workout is for anybody who wants a slightly easier overall workout schedule. The classic workout does not build any more muscle bulk as such.

P90X Lean Workout Schedule PDF

I’ve created a short P90X lean workout schedule PDF for those that find it handy to download and keep the schedule on their computer.

Your P90X Bonuses

So that’s it. In the DVDs, Tony Horton shows you how to modify the exercises if you choose to do the lean workout, so just listen to what he says and you’ll be fine.

One final thing to note: especially if you choose the easier P90X lean workout, nutrition is very important and is actually where you will achieve the most results. Make sure you follow the nutrition guide closely.

The nutrition guide is one of the many bonuses you get when you order P90X from the official Beachbody site. If you have bought a copy and didn’t get the fitness guide or nutrition guide, then it may be a bootleg copy. I hope the DVDs work – it’s not likely you’ll get good customer service either.

That’s why my recommendation is always to buy straight from Beachbody:

Remember the bonuses you get when you order direct:

-3 Phase Nutrition Guide (to help you lose fat, build lean muscle and maintain high energy levels)
-Fitness Guide (packed with great info to keep you inspired)
-P90X Calendar (track your progress and reach your goals)
-Online Support (invaluable peer support, and access to Tony himself)

    • There should be a link in the post.

  2. Actually, in the P90X Fitness Guide the Lean scheudule is described as “More cardio and less resistance for maximum weight loss.” it goes on to say, “Make no mistake, this is the real deal and no picnic. In fact, you may sweat more than in regular P90X.”
In the introduction video, Tony Horton says, “it doesn’t mean it’s easier…I know for some folks, especially woman, they are more comfortable with more cardio.”
He suggests it for women who don’t want to get too bulky.

Thanks for the schedule and reviews!

  3. Now i am getting all set to start part 3 of P90X and find it
hard to wait. Although I believe that I will have
to move to something different soon after this. (Have not actually
made an attempt to try P90X2 although) I’ve heard P90X2 is in fact surprisingly very different than the original. Oh well. Suppose it certainly is time for a nice change for better! ;)
